Catriona Rogers

M.A. Dip M.S, M. Ed (counselling)

"I am able to control only that of which I am aware. That of which I am unaware controls me. Awareness empowers me."

Catriona Rogers is a counsellor and coach who works in depth with clients on issues around self, relationships and work. Her approach is strengths based, working with clients to 're-author' their lives - to find life stories that empower and allow them to live more joyfully and with full self expression.

Catriona joined IMI in 2007 to offer clients a holistic solution to issues which cannot be solved by either body or mind approaches alone. Her work focuses on the interplay between mind, emotions, spirit and the physical and complements other treatments offered by colleagues at IMI. Typical client issues include are depression, anxiety, PTSD, stress, binge drinking, grief/loss, anger management, assertiveness, life transitions and relationship dynamics.

She has over 20 years experience in a wide range of therapeutic approaches: Psychodynamics, Humanistic, Social Construction, Cognitive Behavioural, Psychosynthesis, NLP, Brief Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Constructive Dialogues, Appreciative Inquiry, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Visualisation. At the heart of her work is the compassion she has for clients and the desire to see them freed of emotional pain.

Before following her passion of working with people, Catriona had a career in the corporate world and lived and worked in Europe, USA, and throughout Asia. This has given her a deep understanding of how culture impacts personal and professional lives and also an understanding of the challenges many clients face in Hong Kong's high performance workplace.
