Dr. Alen Liaw (MD)
MBBS (Singapore)
Dr Liaw completed his MBBS degree from the National University of Singapore in 1988 and received training in Family Medicine in Singapore. He began practice in Hong Kong Castle Peak Hospital in 1997 as a Psychiatric Medical Officer. Dr Liaw joined the Chek Lap Kok Airport Clinic in 1998 and oversaw the health problems of airport staff and treated acute emergencies such as heart attack and trauma cases.
Since then he has been involved in Family Medicine in private practice, treating chronic illnesses like Diabetes and Hypertension.
In 2009, Dr Liaw received a Master Degree in Acupuncture from China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences (Beijing). His graduation thesis was "Treatment of Allergic Rhinitis with Acupuncture in Hong Kong."
His current practice incorporates acupuncture treatment in family medicine. “Pain Syndromes show good response to acupuncture and thus reducing the need for oral analgesia,” said Dr Liaw, “acupuncture also assists tobacco and drug withdrawal.”
Dr Liaw has taken further interest in Functional Medicine. He has a firm belief that diet, nutrition and detoxification play important role in disease prevention. Dr Liaw has a special interest in heavy metal detoxification. He has gained board certified Intravenous Chelation therapy from American College for Advancement of Medicine (ACAM), and uses intravenous administration of nutritionals like Vitamin C and B12 in daily practice to boost immunity and to hasten recovery.
Dr Liaw is fluent in English and Cantonese.
廖育麟醫生
新加坡大學內外全科醫學士 MBBS
廖醫生於一九八八年畢業於新加坡大學並考獲內外全科醫學士資格, 之後在新加坡實習家庭醫學。九七年廖醫生來到香港, 在青山醫院任職醫務主任。九八年廖醫生加入赤立角機場診所, 為機場職員診症, 及曾治理如特發性心臟病和創傷等急症。
往後廖醫生在私人診所執業, 主理家庭醫學,並醫治糖尿病及高血壓患者。
零九年廖醫生獲得中國中醫科學院頒發的針灸碩士文憑。他的畢業論文以過敏性鼻炎的針灸療法為題。
廖醫生融合針疚療法與家庭醫學。「針灸對痛症尤其有效, 因此可減輕病人對口服止痛藥的需要。針灸對誡煙與誡毒也能起很大幫助。」
廖醫生也專注於功能醫學。他深信飲食調整、營養補充、及排除體內毒素有助於身體自行痊癒及預防疾病。廖醫生對重金屬排毒有特別研究,並獲得美國醫學發展學會對靜脈注射螯合治療的專業驗證。 廖醫生能透過靜脈注射維他命C和B12來提升病人的抵抗力及加快其痊癒時間。
