Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a well-established natural therapy that originated in China. It involves the painless insertion of very fine, sterilised needles into the skin to stimulate specific acupuncture points. These points link up via channels to various internal organs and connect the whole body into a unit. When a needle is inserted a regulatory and normalising effect on organ function occurs. In Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncture and herbs are used to treat disease or illness by harmonizing, balancing, regulating and strengthening the body.
Acupuncture can be used to treat a wide variety of complaints including coughs and colds, sciatica, insomnia, anxiety, infertility, menstrual irregularities, menopause and bowel problems.
Acupuncture is generally a safe form of treatment and can be used during pregnancy. Please inform your practitioner if you are pregnant or wish to become pregnant. This will ensure you are given the most appropriate treatment at all times.
