  • High performance work environments
  • Career transitions: promotion & job loss
  • Work / life balance
  • Questioning your professional direction

“I enjoy partnering with people who are navigating the ‘who and what next’ in life, who are inspired to take steps towards sustainable change… big or small! I am most fulfilled when clients realise their true north, experience ‘aha’ moments and begin to self-regulate their energy and attention towards what is most important to them.”

With over 20 years’ experience across corporate and medical settings, Karen understands the pressures intersecting between busy professional and personal lives.

She provides a confidential, safe space for adults seeking to ‘pause’, breathe and navigate life’s stressors, including feelings of anxiety and overwhelm linked with performance, promotions, blurred boundaries; burnout, organisational changes, threatened job security; job loss and redundancy; interpersonal relationships; life’s transitions, and events triggering those questions about direction, meaning and sense of purpose.

Karen grounds her practise in humanistic, client centred and cognitive-behavioural approaches and enjoys working with clients aspiring to work on their psychological flexibility through the application of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). As a qualified Coach (ICF-ACC), she also tends towards conversations which are authentic, collaborative and goal focussed. She is distinguished by her natural ability to establish rapport and alliance with people of various cultures, demographics and stages in their career or lifespan.

Karen is a registered industrial-organisational psychologist in Hong Kong (HKPS) and registered psychologist in Australia (AHPRA). She graduated with a masters in organisational psychology, later a master’s in counselling, and is currently undertaking a professional doctorate in occupational psychology at Birkbeck University, with aspirations to apply her academic and practical experience to inform solutions aimed at optimising corporate health and wellbeing. She is the HKPS co-representative for LGBTI issues for the APA’s International Psychology Network, and a firm advocate for affirmative practices and initiatives cultivating healthy, safe, and inclusive workplace settings.

She has lived in Hong Kong for 13 years and is a proud mother of two primary aged boys and one oversized street cat! Her favoured activities to unwind, reset or prepare for the day, include hiking mountain trails, bootcamp, waking up early to go for a run and chasing the sunrise.
