Dr Carlie Grindey is a highly experienced mental health counsellor, craniosacral therapist and health coach who offers a safe and non-judgemental space for clients to access the source of health challenges of both mind and body, and find a way forward.

Committed to healing clients naturally and holistically, Dr Grindey’s therapeutic and coaching work is backed by three decades of experience as a UK trained medical and psychiatric doctor. Clients appreciate her kindness and her compassionate listening, as well as her scientific and practical understanding of how diseases affect people’s lives, as she partners with them to achieve optimal health and wellbeing.

Taking an ontological perspective, Dr Grindey believes we are born with infinite ways of being but, because of life experiences, we can lose some ways of being that are helpful to us. As a result, we may become stuck, experience multiple health symptoms that cannot always be explained by conventional medicine, suffer with anxiety or depression, and more. Through psychotherapeutic and ontological techniques, including cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), Dr Grindey helps clients uncover and heal from the experiences that have mentally and/or physically impacted their way of being.

To lift the emotional fog and help clients regain clarity so the best outcome can be realised, Dr Grindey draws on HeartMath breathing techniques, Meditation and Craniosacral therapy. Throughout life, clients can continue to use Meditation and HeartMath to restore inner calm, increase resilience, and be who they want to be in difficult times.

A lifelong learner, Dr Grindey earned her degree in Basic Medical Sciences and History of Medicine at University College London, and her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Imperial College London. A member of both the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and of the General Practitioners in the UK, she has postgraduate medical training in physical medicine of all age groups. She also holds a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, certifications in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy and HeartMath Coaching, and training in Mindfulness and Meditation.

On a personal level, Dr Grindey used mind and body techniques and complementary therapies to restore her own vitality and wellbeing through breast cancer treatment in 2014 and Long COVID in 2020. She also provided end of life care for both her parents.
