Dr Aaron Anderson is an Australian osteopath with a degree in Sport Science and a double degree with Distinction in Osteopathy.
Aaron began his professional life in the Exercise Testing and Prescription field and worked with many elite athletes.
Further study with Paul Chek in 1996, and his presentation of the Prague School of Medicine and Rehabilitation resulted in Aaron reevaluating his methodology of exercise prescription. Aaron became more focused on preventing injury and improving sports performance rather than “picking up the pieces” once an injury occurred and this led him to return to full-time study at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) University in 2001 and complete a five-year degree in Osteopathy.
Aaron has been employed as an osteopath for many elite athletes: Olympians, the Australian Road Cycling team and the AFL football team the North Melbourne Kangaroos. Aaron has worked in London, Tokyo, Beijing, Phnom Penh, Suva, Seoul, Melbourne and Hong Kong.
Prior to emigrating to Hong Kong, Aaron operated his own Osteopathic Clinic “Movement Squared” which was primarily a family practice and specialized in managing traumatic sporting injuries, early teenage sporting injuries and foot and gait dysfunctions.
Aaron takes a collaborative approach to his practice and converses with his patient’s doctors, coaches, personal trainers and other therapists. He works with a diverse population of cyclists, ironmen, kettlebell athletes, runners and members of the general public who benefit from osteopathic care.
Aaron moved to Discovery Bay in 2013 with his wife and two daughters.
Aaron is currently enrolled in a Masters of High Performance Sport at ACU University in Melbourne, Australia. .
