Christiane Guy is a compassionate and intuitive healer with 30 years experience. Her interest comes from the knowledge that everyone is different and what works for one person may not work for the next. Her extensive, multi-disciplinary background includes Cranial-Sacral Therapy, Bowen Therapy, Myofascial Release, Body Harmony, St John Neuromuscular Therapy and Emotional Healing. Whilst training in complementary therapies, Christiane also completed a Degree in Psychology and a ‘Skilled Helping Relationship’ counselling program at St John’s Cathedral.
Christiane has chosen to focus on Cranial-Sacral Therapy and Bowen Therapy (ISBT) but she often intuitively integrates these with other techniques she has learnt. Christiane uses Cranio-sacral therapy to calm the nervous system and to restore vitality and encourage ease of movement throughout the whole body.
It is very effective in alleviating headaches, stress, depression, sleep issues, jaw pain and sinus problems. On a subtler level, this facilitates emotional release. Bowen Therapy is effective in treating a range of muscular, structural, and visceral complaints, specifically, lower, middle and upper back pain and shoulder and arm problems. It can also be applied to stomach, bladder and circulatory complaints.
“Over the years I have worked with many clients with all kinds of physical, mental and emotional issues, which has limited their ability to live full, happy, healthy lives. In some cases their lives have changed quite dramatically after a few sessions of bodywork.”
Christiane has dedicated her career to developing new skills in complementary therapies to enable her to guide others towards healing and personal-growth. She has always felt passionate about facilitating her client’s ability to function better in their everyday life and has helped numerous people to live fuller and healthier lives. Her studies with Zen master, Thich Nhat Hanh (Thay) has had a profound influence on her work and personal life.
Originally from New Zealand, Christiane came to Hong Kong from Melbourne Australia in 1990. Her interests include mandala art, animals and astrology.
