Jessica Lau is a counselling psychologist who provides psychotherapy to teenagers, emerging adults and adults. Committed to helping people heal and write their own life story, she supports clients who have experienced trauma caused by physical and emotional abandonment, sexual abuse, betrayal and bullying. She helps clients through anxiety, depression, anger, hopelessness, shame and self-hatred. And, as a grief counsellor, she helps her clients deal with the loss of family and friends, pets, or health and physical functions.
Having previously worked as a head-hunter in a fast-paced and competitive environment, Jessica is also skilled at supporting professionals through return-to-work, career transitions, burnout, workaholism and more.
Jessica obtained her MSc in Counselling Psychology at Hong Kong Shue Yan University and her BSc in Psychology at the University of Hong Kong. She was a scholar in experimental psychology at The University of Oxford and studied environmental protection and sustainable development at Harvard University. Jessica is a member of the Hong Kong Psychological Society Division of Counselling Psychology. She obtains professional training and supervision on an ongoing basis.
