Dr Gianina Shek is a California licensed Naturopathic Doctor, educated in at Bastyr University in San Diego.

She specialises in infant, child and teen health, working to find the root cause of health concerns. Using a whole-child framework, she gains an understanding of children’s physical, emotional and social health to create a complete picture of their wellbeing.

She has wide ranging experience in paediatric neurodevelopment, helping families navigate speech delay, developmental delays and the underlying factors that can influence behaviours, learning and overall development. She’s also experienced in working with kids who have neurodivergence. 

Families often work with Dr. Shek to navigate concerns related to attention and hyperactivity, frequent meltdowns, rigid behaviour, sensory sensitivities, social challenges, and learning or processing differences. Her goal is to help parents understand the underlying causes of symptoms. 

Alongside her degree as a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, Gianina also holds a BA in Psychology from Biola University. She has her own paediatric wellness clinic in California, where she focuses exclusively on paediatric neurodevelopment and works closely with families to create individualized care plans that support a child’s health.

Dr. Shek is fluent in both Cantonese and English, and offers care in both languages. She is also a mom of two, a boy and a girl, and understands the real-life challenges of supporting a child’s development while managing the day-to-day rhythms of family life.
