Clinical psychology services in Hong Kong

Our clinical psychologists offer support grounded in research and science. Their approach focuses on the cognitive, providing an analytical approach for working with mental health.

They’re well equipped to work with a wide range of issues, and can support diagnosis, focusing on evidence-based treatments, like CBT.

Clinical psychologists undergo extensive training in psychology and complex mental health conditions. Our clinical psychologists are well-equipped to support those with neurodiverse conditions (like autism and ADHD), borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and OCD.Though their area of expertise lies in their scientific background, our clinical psychologists’ knowledge can be applied to more than just complex conditions. They offer support for a wide range of issues and offer a compassionate space for you to explore your feelings. Our clinical psychologists can help with mental health conditions like depression and anxiety, including phobias.Trauma, grief and loss, including grief related to changes in your health status. Difficulty managing big emotions, like anger. Self harm and suicidal tendencies.
Our clinical psychologists often draw on more analytical approaches, but may also bring in psychotherapeutic approaches. Techniques that are common among clinical psychologists include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). These techniques are grounded in scientific research that proves their efficacy. Each psychologist will have a style that is unique to them - and if the person you first speak to doesn’t feel like the right fit for you, you can always change your mind. Read through our practitioners’ biographies to get a good sense of who they are.
Consent matters. Our clinical psychologists will only assess you formally once you have asked them to.They may use psychometric tests and informal interviews to assess your learning, personality, social skills and behaviour. Our clinical psychologists work sensitively, recognising the stigma that can come with labels. They work with you to soothe any accompanying emotions around your journey towards diagnosis.
Our clinical psychologists support you as you integrate your diagnosis into your understanding of yourself. You may want support in identifying new coping strategies; techniques to develop emotional resilience; or simply a protected space to discuss the impact of your diagnosis. For school aged kids, our clinical psychologists work with schools to develop and enact guidelines to ensure your children get the support they need to optimise their learning environment.
